We offer a range of roofing styles, and this article looks at how you can establish the ideal canopy shape to suit your home or business perfectly. All of our canopies are custom designed and made specifically to your fit your space, but first you need to make a few decisions.
The size of the canopy is often related to the deck or patio area, and shape can be determined by the building roofline, but there are several options to consider.
Starting with the Arch Canopy, we offer both a Full Arch and a Slim Arch. Benefits of a full arch include a wider span between posts, increased light and a greater feeling of space. Whereas a slim arch has a minimal curve that is suitable for smaller canopies, and those seeking a lower profile. As an added bonus the Slim Arch suits most house styles.
Alternatively, we offer a mono pitch, which is a half arch. This provides a contemporary look, that allows an increased sense of space, sloping either down from the building, or tilting back up to the building. If no arch is desired, we offer a flat design, but this needs adequate height for the canopy connection to the house to ensure we get the slope required for water management.
If you have a Hip roofline, you may consider a gable end. This has the two sides aligned with the building slope for a seamless finish between the canopy and home.
In the case of a U Shape space, often for an entrance or dining area, we can do a house-to-house canopy, creating excellent indoor outdoor flow.
Finally when there is no structure to attach the canopy to, the freestanding pergola is a great option which still offers the same robust strength as attaching to a building. This suits for example carports, playground covers, outdoor seating, and poolside shelter.
